Parent Teacher Association

The PTA has been set up to raise funds for activities and equipment for the enjoyment of all our pupils. All parents and guardians are able to become PTA members. You can contact us with ideas and suggestions by emailing us at this address pta@wlfs.org.

You can find out more about the aims and objectives of the WLFS PTA by reading the constitution here.

You can now also follow us on Twitter by clicking here. This is the best way to keep abreast of all PTA news.

Over the past few years, there have been a number of social events, including the annual Quiz Night, the Barn Dance and the Summer Fair, as well as other fundraising initiatives. All future events will be announced on this page, so please check here on a regular basis.

Volunteers for forthcoming events  are always welcome!

Other on-going fundraising initiatives

You, your family and friends can always raise funds for the WLFS by using the following easy and effortless fundraising schemes — all of which will make donations to the PTA:

1) Register for free at easyfundraising.org.uk as a supporter and nominate the West London Free School as your cause from the list. All retailers listed will give a percentage of what you spend to the WLFS PTA — with no extra cost to you! When you have registered, you're ready to shop and raise money. Simply choose the online retailer or search for the product you want, then shop online as you would normally. After a purchase, easyfundraising will send you an email telling you how much you have raised and pass the donation to the WLFS PTA. The purchase itself will be dealt with by the retailer as normal. Please make it a habit: Try to remind yourself to go through the site when you shop online and also tell your friends, relatives and colleagues. Think birthdays, seasonal shopping (Easter/Christmas), holidays/flights/travel and large purchases, e.g. electricals — but also continuous small purchases, e.g. books, office supplies, stationary and sports items.

2) We are a registered cause with easy2name.com, a company selling extremely useful labels, tags and name stickers for uniform items. Please nominate the WLFS at the check-out stage.

3) The school has an onsite TRAID container for the recycling of old clothes and shoes.

4) We are now registered with Empties Please, a recycling scheme for used (small) printer cartridges. Collection bins will be made available in school and further, detailed information will follow. Please be  aware that only certain cartridge makes/types are accepted by the scheme. If in doubt, please check  http://www.emptiesplease.com/schools/.

5) We are also registered with Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers, so please keep collecting. Vouchers can be handed in via the PTA letterbox in the school foyer.
Please remember to support these schemes — they are an easy way to raise funds.

If you have further suggestions for other effortless fundraising schemes, please email pta@wlfs.org
