Earl's Court Free School Primary opening in 2014

The Earl's Court Free School Primary is now open for admissions. If you're interested in applying for a place in 2014 you can see our admission arrangements here. Admissions forms can be obtained from your local town hall, but the most efficient way to apply is via the e-admissions portal here. You'll see the West London Free School Primary pop up towards the bottom once you've identified the local authority it's in, i.e. Hammersmith and Fulham. You don't have to be a Hammersmith and Fulham resident to apply. The deadline for applications is 15th January 2014 and parents will be notified whether they've been successful or not by their local authorities on 15th April 2014.

The school's permanent home will be in Earl's Court at the heart of the new Earl's Court development, but will initially share the site of the West London Free School Primary in Hammersmith. Both schools will sit under the West London Free School Academy Trust and the new primary will offer the same type of education as the West London Free School Primary, which you can learn more about here. The ethos and curriculum of the new primary will be identical to te WLFS Primary so it's worth exploring that website. Pupils at the Earl's Court Primary will be given priority when applying for a place at one of the secondaries in our group, such as the West London Free School. You can learn more about that school here.

The Earl's Court Primary will open with one Reception class of 30 pupils in 2014 and continue to admit 30 children each year until July 2020. At that point, it will relocate to its permanent home in Earl's Court and become a two-form entry school, admitting 60 children in Reception and an additional 30 children in each year group. In this way, it will be able to accommodate the demand for primary school places for children of various ages from families living in the new Earl's Court development, subject to planning and legal agreements.

Because the school will open in Hammersmith but relocate to Earl's Court, we'll be admitting children according to their proximity to two separate geographical points rather than just one. The first will be the location of the school's temporary home, which is on Banim Street in Hammersmith, the second will be the Earl's Court tube station. We've organised two open days when prospective parents can come and meet the staff and find out more about our curriculum. They are on Wednesday the 13th of November and Wednesday the 11th of December at the West London Free School, Cambridge Grove, London W6 0LB. There will be two sessions on each day, the first at 6pm - 7pm and the second at 7.30pm - 8.30pm. There's no need to tell us in advance which day/session you intend to come to. We look forward to seeing you there.

If your child is too young to apply for a place in 2014 but you're interested in applying when he/she is old enough you should fill out this expression-of-interest form. Once we have your details on file we will let you know when the time comes to apply and send you a link to the electronic application form.
