On March 15, pupils at The West London Free School made the news for real when they took part in BBC News School Report project along with thousands of other schools across the UK.
This is how the day unfolded.....
At 8:15 this morning, our team of news hounds were standing pens at the ready, prepared to reveal the day’s important news stories for the BBC School Report. “It’s a pressured task,” said lead teacher Deborah Halifax, “but these pupils are more than capable of it.”
“I’m expecting an action packed day,” said Carys, one of the pupils involved.
“Bubbly!” agreed Sophia.
The team were ably assisted by BBC Journalist, Hanna White.

Toby Young: "I failed all of my GCSEs except for one."
The founder of the West London Free School has admitted that he failed all his exams except for one, English Literature. He told the students that it was because he was not pushed enough at school. In an interview with two students, Tiana and Joe, he explains why he wanted to set up the West London Free School.
"I want to be the next Rebecca Adlington," says teen hopeful.
Teenage Olympic hopeful, Georgie, says she wants to win gold in the Olympics. On March 5th 2012, Georgie took part in the Olympic trials. Our reporter Lara was there and managed to get an interview with the young hopeful.

The day we met the Queen
On 12th March a group of pupils were lucky enough to go to Westminster Abbey and celebrate Commonwealth Day. This is celebrated every year on the second Monday of March, when 54 countries join together in celebration of the links they share as members of the commonwealth.

Literacy in schools must improve, says Sir Michael Wilshaw, Chief Inspector of Schools in England
Sir Michael Wilshaw today gave his thoughts on the standard of literacy and English in England's schools. He has pledged to raise the standards that he says have been "stalled" since 2005. Report by Ewura-Ama and Hannan.
